Lifespan of 150–200 years

With proper care a log home serves generations: wooden churches in eastern Slovakia have stood since the 15th century and Nordic timber buildings for more than 800 years.

The natural scent of wood has a positive effect on well-being. Wood naturally regulates humidity and creates an optimal microclimate.

Solid wood stores heat and evens out temperature swings – a log home stays cool in summer and does not cool down quickly in winter, which lowers heating and cooling costs.

Production process

From tree to finished log home

A transparent production process — from selecting quality timber to final assembly on your site.

Timber selection and transport

Quality spruce wood from high altitudes near Slovak Paradise. Careful selection and quality control.

Milling and processing

The timber goes through milling, storage and drying. After drying the logs are sanded and milled to a calibrated diameter of 200–280 mm.

Preventive protection

Before assembly every log is impregnated with Böhme and Krovsan preservatives against wood-boring insects, fungi and mould – deep into the wood, not just the surface.

Dry assembly in the workshop

Complete construction assembly in our halls without final joining — for quality control and customer approval.

Transport and construction

Numbered components are transported to the building site and assembled on prepared concrete foundations.

Final coating

Application of quality Swiss and German surface coatings for long-term protection and aesthetics.

Every log home is priced individually according to the floor plan, log diameter and scope of delivery. Send us your floor plan or choose a model – we will prepare a no-obligation quote at current material prices.

Perimeter walls

Logs diameter 200 – 280 mm, internal load-bearing elements, log roof structure and fastening materials.

Roof and insulation

Thermal insulation, roof structure, roof covering, foundation insulation and electrical installation preparation.

Documentation and delivery

Complete project documentation, protective coatings against pests and fungi, assembly and transport to the building site.

Frequently asked questions about log homes

A properly built and regularly maintained log home lasts 150 to 200 years – solid logs with no hidden cavities have nowhere to rot as long as the wall stays dry and is protected by the roof and a coating.
In a fire solid logs char on the surface and then burn only slowly, so the wall keeps its load-bearing capacity considerably longer than unprotected steel, which loses strength at high temperatures. The fire resistance of a specific structure is documented in the project.
The logs are treated with quality protective coatings from Böhme and Krovsan against pests and wood-decaying fungi. For both interior and exterior, we use quality Swiss and German coatings.
Yes. We adapt to your requirements – our designer prepares a 3D visualisation and we supply complete project documentation including the building design.
A building plot with access to utilities, project documentation and a building permit. We provide the project documentation and supply all the paperwork needed for the permit.
A solid log wall has high thermal mass and naturally evens out temperature and humidity indoors. The roof and foundations are always insulated; for the external walls we propose, depending on the location and required energy standard, either a pure log wall or a log wall with internal thermal insulation – always so that the house meets the applicable standards.
We are a manufacturer, not a middleman: the logs are processed in our own workshop in Dobšiná and the timber comes from forests around Slovak Paradise. Short transport distances and in-house production keep the price favourable – and you see every log home assembled in our hall before it leaves for your plot.
The price depends on the floor plan, log diameter and scope of delivery – from the structural shell to a house ready for interior finishing. Send us a floor plan or choose a model and we will prepare a no-obligation quote at current material prices.
The log home is produced and dry-assembled in our hall; on site it is then erected from numbered parts within a few weeks. The overall lead time depends on the size of the house and the season – the exact schedule is part of the contract.
Yes, a solid log wall settles naturally during the first years. That is why the logs are dried before production and the assembly allows for settling gaps above windows and doors and uses adjustable posts, so settling happens without cracks and without intervention.
We recommend checking the exterior once a year and renewing the coating according to sun and rain exposure, usually every few years – sooner on the south and west sides. The interior needs no regular maintenance.
Yes. A log home is a standard residential building and banks finance it like any family house – based on the project and budget we supply. Payment is made in stages (deposit, production, assembly), which matches the drawdown of a loan.
